Louis XIII just debut an extremely rare edition of Louis XIII Black Pearl Magnum. The bottle was recently unveiled at the new Rose Club bar at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. Initially launched in 2007, the 750 ml limited-edition Black Pearl decanter was sold out in less than a month, but for those that can afford the hefty price tag (approximately $1,000 per glass and $32,000 for a bottle), Louis XIII Black Pearl Magnum will be served at luxury properties worldwide including The Plaza Hotel in New York City, the St. Regis Hotel in Washington D.C., and Prive, MGM, and Joel Robuchon in Las Vegas.
The beautiful Louis XIII Black Pearl Magnum decanter (1.75 L), pictured above is handcrafted by Baccarat in black crystal with platinum accents. It’s hand blown and, depending on the angle it is viewed and the intensity of light highlighting it, the crystal appears to be smoky black or gleaming steel and it’s displayed on a custom black base.
The House of Rémy Martin first created Louis XIII cognac in 1874 and today, three generations of Cellar Masters preside over the making of a single bottle of Louis XIII.

For those who can’t afford to spend $1000 on a glass of Black Pearl Magnum, Remy Martin also recently launched its first-ever limited edition VSOP bottle ($50), designed by photographer David LaChapelle. The photo that adorns the bottle is inspired by 1920s Paris Jazz Age, which is when and where Remy Martin VSOP debuted.
